Frequently asked questions
What are the watches made from?
Every mod is built using brand new parts — movements, dials, bezels, and cases are all new, not reconditioned or salvaged. The craftsmanship is in the customisation.
Are these one of a kind?
Yes — every piece is unique. Once it's sold, that exact mod won't be made again. Sign up to our email alerts to be first to know when a new piece is ready.
Are you affiliated with Seiko or any other watch brand?
Ati's Watch Mods is an independent modding studio and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Seiko, Grand Seiko, or any other watch manufacturer or brand. All brand names mentioned are used for reference purposes only to describe compatibility and are the property of their respective owners.
All modifications are performed independently using aftermarket and third-party components.
How quickly will my watch ship?
All in-stock pieces ship within a few days of placing your order.
Can I request a custom mod?
Absolutely — we take custom commission requests. Every custom build is one of a kind, made to your brief from start to finish. Custom mods have a 4-week turnaround from confirmation of your order.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — every order ships worldwide, fully tracked and insured. Please note that international customers may be subject to local import duties or customs fees on arrival, which are the buyer's responsibility.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard. We also support Apple Pay and Google Pay for fast checkout.
We offer flexible payments through Klarna — split your purchase into 3 interest-free instalments or pay later. Klarna options are available at checkout subject to approval.
Can I return my watch?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the watch is unworn and in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility — we recommend using a tracked and insured service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit. Custom commission pieces are non-returnable, as they are built specifically to your brief.
What does the warranty cover?
Every watch comes with a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery, covering mechanical defects in the movement and parts failure resulting from the build. If something isn't right, we will repair it at no cost to you. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, water damage, normal wear and tear, or damage from unauthorised servicing. Since every piece is one of a kind, like-for-like exchange is not possible — in the rare case of an unrepairable defect, a partial or full refund will be offered instead.
What are my statutory rights?
As a UK consumer, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply regardless of the above policies. Within 30 days of delivery you may be entitled to a full refund for goods that are faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose. Between 30 days and six months, we are entitled to one opportunity to repair before a refund is due.
